The beginning

Today is the first day of the Spring semester. I don't know.. I feel like that I got too high to face the new day or something like that. I couldn't sleep at all until 2:30 a.m. or just it's my bad habit. It's really hard for me to deal with right now.

I need to get some sleep now.. otherwise I have chance to cause huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge trouble.

after watching War of the Worlds

This post may contain some spoiling features, but whatever. I don't think that anybody would care about that since the movie is a half year old, which means someone who love to watch movies would seen this one already.

I haven't read the original book written by H.G. Wells, but I already read about the cause of aliens' death by reading scinece articles ever since more than 10 years ago. I didn't notice that the book and the film were related until the end though.

I'll just get straight to my impressions toward the film. Well, I liked it. Just like any other Dreamworks films, this film used lots of computer graphics. The production team did good job on the cloudy skies and the details of the machines that aliens controlled. Those were realistics. Also those machines reminded me Stripes from Half-life 2.

There are some negative sides of this film.
First, at the beginning of the film when the mother brought her children at Ray's home, there are news of Ukraine's unusual EMP incident and the city Ray lives, I do not recall it back clearly, got under attacked by aliens. But how the heck Boston didn't seem to get attacked in most places? I don't think aliens were dropped only on certain spot at this time and another place at next time.
Secondly, how did Robby got back to Boston? Even Ray and Rachel had hard time to deal with machines. Aliens delivered Robby in front of his grandparents' house nice and softly? He flew from the hill to Boston as the result of the explosion?
Finally, why did the shield of the machines turned off after aliens were infected by virus? I really don't get this part. Did the shield were related to the controllers' brainwaves somehow? Did aliens took pills and they were too sleepy to turn on the shield? Because the shield was the ultimate defensive system of the machine from human weapons, therefore they should increase the defense harder and working on vaccines or something like that. That is what I think the proper way. They were just jerks from outer space? I don't know.

I felt like that Director Spielberg just didn't give enough information through out the film and dumped everything at the end.

I was only focused on the bad parts, but it was still enjoyable. Nice act, Tom and Dakota.

making a new blog

i already have two blogs for myself and feel like making another one doesn't do anything but causing more problems.

by the way, i have my first blog in a free web hosting server[http://mireene.com] and this site requires me to do renewing my account every one month. they started this policy beginning of this month, if i remeber correctly.

i run my second blog in Naver[http://naver.com]. it is free for life time use, but i don't like their end-user agreement which states Naver can use members' posts for the company's commercial usage. i am not a pro blogger nor full of resources, but i just don't like their idea.
also i am a FFer and not used IE for couple months, because of spywares and active x. but Naver Blog[NB] does not compatible with Fire Fox well enough. i have no choice but use IE for NB. i don't like that, too.

anyways, i don't know i should keep this blog or dump it.
